April 19th, 2008 as part of my Vancouver / Vancouver Island vacation, I rented a car and drove the 120 kilometers north from Vancouver to Whistler. This stretch of highway is called “Sea to Sky” just to sort of get you in the mood 
it’s a really nice drive.
After arriving in Whistler, I bought a daypass to go up on Whistler Mountain by gondola – a 20 minute ride or so.
I’m not sure if it’s the highest mountain I’ve ever been on but it’s surely the best view I’ve had from any mountain. It was windy and quite cold up there but it didn’t seem to matter I wanted to get some good shots from up there.
The ‘TELUS World Ski & Snowboard Festival’ was going on that week but even so, Whistler Village seemed like a nice and quiet place. I wonder how things will change when the 2010 Winter Olympics are held here.
For your information, I don’t ski – however, seeing this, I might have to learn how to and return some day

One hundred and fourty videos and counting so something a little special today. Here we see the last 777-300ER to be delivered to Air Canada landing on runway 06R at Montreal’s Pierre Elliot Trudeau International Airport. This aircraft features a special Winter Olympics paint scheme since Air Canada is the official airline of the 2010 Winter Olympic games in Vancouver. This video has been recorded in HD which the format that I am planning to swtich to in about a month or so.
