Best, most romantic, & least expensive honeymoon destinations in Canada for summer of 2010?
My fiance and I would like to go to Canada for our honeymoon. We our planning our wedding for the summer of 2010.
I want to know the most romantic places we can go that won't cost us an absolute fortune. Our budget is pretty slim. If you could be as detailed as possible with a rough total cost that would be wonderful!
…We both plan on getting our passports so now is as good as time as any. Also, aside from worrying about that is there anything else we should know?
Thanks in advance!
Some great suggestions offered already! Another area that might be of interest is the Okanagan Valley in BC. The area is semi-arid, so the prospects of dry, hot summer weather is good, beautiful locations to share romantic moments and there are plenty of things to do that won't affect your wallet! You'll find the area is known for it's summer outdoor activities, as well as the many wineries available throughout the valley. Some of the larger cities can be costly for accommodations during the summer, but reasonably priced places can be found in the smaller communities that are still close enough to explore other areas. It's a great area to do some camping too, if that's a consideration.

Prince Edward Island can be cozy and romantic, especially the lobsters fresh from the boats are priced amazing! the land of Anne of Green Gables is breathtaking with the cliffs and beaches of red dirt & sand!

The summer of 2010 in Vancouver and Whistler is a few months AFTER the winter olympics is finished here so maybe would be some pretty outstanding hotel deals once the crowds all leave and tryng to fill space?? Whistler is a nice romantic place to spend the weekend and summer easier to book in and cheaper than winter
Suggest a rental car with unlimited kilometers wherever you decide to go in Canada. Basic 4 door compact costs about $40/day rented by the week. You can chew thru that in cabs and buses pretty quick travelling. . It will also give you much more freedom than relying on public transport. If you go to vancouver and time permits drive thru to Banff and Calgary to really see the west. Spend a day in victoria.
If what you have in mind is more " cabin by a lake for week of summer bliss" then suggest northern ontario in the muskoka or halliburton regions. (about 3 hours north of Toronto) But for that you should start searching to line something up for rental in fall 2009.
good luck on the nupitals.

They don't call it Beautiful BC for nothing! There are the beaches at Tofino on Vancouver Island, great hiking trails, sailing, mountain views, also in Vancouver there are great things as well.
I suggest looking @ the good ol' internet.
