What should happen to the Vancouver 2010 Winter Olympics if the damp cool fall and winter escalates what the WHO already calls a pandemic. For public health concerns should the 2010 Winter Olympics be cancelled and if so when. What if athletes have to be quarantined or are to sick to preform at top form. Could Hotels be quarantined? Flu heat detecting camera at Vancouver international airport? And what do you do with flu cases, where are they housed?

    Imagine a large hotel where half the guests are sick and then half the staff are sick and unable to work for days? Now what? Now multiply that to include schools, transit and first responders, the PR of this resonating around the world.

    Not in Manitoba or for the family in Ontario that just lost their young daughter. At what mortality rate should we worry? Other countries have reacted more proactively China with its 1 billion population cannot take a chance on a pandemic. But even Vancouver, congested and receiving people from around the world possibly infected with the flu, arriving sick or getting sick while here and making local people sick is something to have a strategy for.

    Isnt swine flu not all that more dangerous than seasonal flu? Are we going to go ape over regular flu each and every year?

    So far Swine Flu has been more of a big media panic parade.
