I know they havent released dates and times but just interested in who the Vikings will be playing other than Detroit, Chicago and Green Bay.
The patriots already announced their 2009 schedule. (http://www.patriots.com/search/index.cfm?ac=searchdetail&pid=2862&pcid=43) Just couldnt find the Vikings anywhere on their homepage.
Well besides playing their division rivals the Vikings will play the NFC West, and AFC North next year,and two other nfc teams depending on how they place in their division at the end of the season.

Does anyone else agree with me that Joe Sakic is the perfect candidate to be the captain of the olympic team in Vancouver 2010. Also any suggestions on who else might be captain would be nice as well.
no disrespect but he shouldn't be playing on team canada, someone like j. toews deserves the opportunity. Joe is too washed up to play for canada.

Just wondering..UGG boots are quite expensive and they're extremely comfortable for the winter time..just wondering if they'll still be instyle for next year.

Please provide reasoning why Singapore should/not host Youth Olympic Games 2010.
I personally thinks Singapore is more than capable to host internation sport competition. =)
What about yours?
I am for Singapore's bid to host the Youth Olympic Games:
1.) Despite the size, Singapore can accomodate the hundreds of thousands of athletes and visitors, the country has so many hostels, hotels, and other similar provisions for accomodations.
2.) The Singapore government will surely prepare on this. With the latest successful APEC Summit in Singapore, I am sure, they can host thousand of people coming.
3.) Many Asian countries can come and witness the event, it will benefit all Asian economies, with the influx of airline ticket purchases, reservations, use of banks and other finances. It will be a big boom to Singapore and Asian economies.
4. Unlike other countries, Singapore is open to so many visitors, unlike if the country is hosted by a country with so many visa restrictions. Many may not be able to witness the Youth Olympics.
5. As earlier stated, it will boost the economy and spending in Singapore. It will increase purchases, and tourism.
6. I am pretty sure, Singapore can handle issues of illegal migration, overstaying, undesirable aliens, violators and others.

why is Vancouver hosting the 2010 Olympics?
The 1976 Summer Olympics were held in Montreal, Quebec.
These were the worst Olympics ever.
Montreal lost, over US$2 billion. In 1976 dollars.
In December 2006, Montreal finished paying its Olympic debt.
Why in the world would Vancouver get the 2010 Olympics?
Your forgetting something Calgary had the 1988 Winter Olympics and didn't have the problems you mentioned.
Vancouver won based on the fact it's a major city on the Pacific Rim that can more then handle the 2010 Winter Olympics. In terms of what the area has to offer is Whistler one of the great skiing resorts in the world. Canada and winter sports is kind of a natural fit. I expect tickets and overall attendance will be higher then it was in Turin.
Try not to compare today with 1976 as the political/economic situation was a time of stagflation (high interest rates and unemployment) brought on by the global oil crises. This meant that labor and construction costs are going to be very high throw in the fact Quebec had a Socialist government that didn't have private sponsorships to off set the costs as they funded it with government money.Throw in the fact powerful labor unions where able to hold Montreal hostage and cost overruns where astronomical.
Lastly your forgetting one other cost to the 1976 games was the added security costs after the terrorist attack at the 1972 Munich games. Quebec was experiencing their own political troubles as the radical Quebec separatist group committed acts of political violence.
Vancouver, British Colombia has no such political problems and has a more pro market economy making this city a winner in the global economy. It's kind of ironic that a strong Canadian dollar is what causing some of the costs to increase.
I have to disagree with Lestermount as he implies the only reason Salt Lake City won the Olympics was over bribery in fact they did the same thing that every other city did to win over the IOC delegates and if you ask me the whole thing was overblown political grandstanding. In gact the 2006 Olympics where profitable under the leadership of Mitt Romney.
Salt Lake City proved to be an excellent choice as they had 1st class facilities and Park City.
